It is important to understand the difference between a smoke detector that you buy at the store and a monitored home heat and smoke detector from Electronic Security Group. While regular battery-operated home smoke detectors notify you when there is a fire in your home, they are not connected to any other warning devices, monitoring towers or the fire department.
Our Fire and smoke detection system works even when your alarm system is disarmed, alerting you and Electronic Security Group monitoring center where our highly trained personal response team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; standing to dispatch the help you need, and allowing a proper and fast response to the fire department.
Our service includes Pembroke Pines security systems, Boynton Beach home security alarms, and ADT home security systems in West Palm beach, as well as the surrounding areas in Broward and Palm Beach counties.
Tips during a fire
- Always have a fire escape plan and rehearse it
- Have two ways out of each room
- Have a safe meeting place outside your house
- Assign for someone in the family to take care of children, elder or any physically challenged as well as pets.
- Craw low beneath smoke heat and smoke tend to rise so the coolest air will be down by the floor
- Check doors for head with the back of your hand If the door is cool, open it slowly. If the door is hot, keep it close and look for another exit
- If the primary exit is blocked by smoke or fire, close any doors between you and the smoke and use your secondary exit.
- If you must go to a window don't jump, use and escape ladder and if not available, turn all the lights on, open the window and signal for help.
- Never go back inside a burning building
